Market access for Brazilian beef exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Brazilian government has announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s health authorities have approved the International Sanitary Certificate proposed by Brazil, officially opening the country's market to Brazilian beef exports.
This decision underscores the high level of international confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system and is expected to further strengthen trade relations between the two nations.
With a population of approximately 3.2 million, Bosnia and Herzegovina already imports forest products and sugarcane-based goods from Brazil. The country’s growing demand for beef presents a valuable opportunity for Brazilian exports to expand and meet its supply needs.
With this latest approval, Brazilian agribusiness has secured its 35th new market access in 2025, bringing the total to 335 new trade opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements are the result of coordinated efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), which remain committed to expanding and diversifying global markets for Brazilian agricultural products.
