Brazilian beef gains market access in Bhutan

The Brazilian government has gained approval from Bhutan’s sanitary authorities for the International Sanitary Certificate (ISC), clearing the way for frozen beef exports. 

This market access enhances trade ties between Brazil and Bhutan, offering a chance to broaden protein choices in the Himalayan nation and support its food security. It also expands Brazil’s beef presence in Asia, fueling agribusiness exports, bolstering the national economy, and creating jobs in the sector. 

With this, Brazil celebrates its 26th market access in 2025, reaching a total of 326 opportunities since early 2023. 

This progress reflects the close collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, advancing Brazil’s global agricultural reach.
