Brazil to export live goats and sheep to Oman

The Brazilian government is pleased to announce that Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources (MAFWR) has approved Brazil's proposed International Veterinary Certificate (IVC) for the export of live goats and sheep to Oman.

Omani health authorities have clarified that the process also requires a formal request from a local importer to the MAFWR. Afterward, the accreditation of appropriate animal quarantine facilities in Brazil will begin.

This authorization marks the 170th market access for Brazilian agribusiness in 2024, bringing the total to 248 new opportunities across 60 destinations since the beginning of 2023.

These achievements are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
