Brazil Secures Three New Market Openings in Argentina
Three New Market Openings in Argentina
The Brazilian government and the government of Argentina have concluded sanitary negotiations enabling Brazil to export powdered eggs for animal feed, swine raw materials, and fresh swine offal to the Argentine market.
These new market openings strengthen trade integration between Brazil and Argentina, the main partners within MERCOSUR. With more than 45 million inhabitants, Argentina has a growing pet products market, with increasing demand for inputs for the animal nutrition industry. For the swine production chain, this development also creates new business opportunities for cuts that are less consumed domestically.
In 2024, Brazil exported more than US$ 1.5 billion in agricultural products to Argentina, with highlights including agroforestry products, cocoa, and coffee.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 425 new market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These results are the outcome of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
