Brazil Secures Six New Agricultural Markets in Burkina Faso
New Agricultural Markets in Burkina Faso
The Brazilian government and Burkina Faso authorities have successfully concluded sanitary negotiations, enabling Brazil to export live breeding cattle, bovine genetic material (semen and embryos), fish fry, fertile eggs, and day-old chicks to Burkina Faso.
These market openings facilitate the export of high-value agricultural products, enhancing the quality of Burkina Faso’s livestock and poultry sectors. They also create promising opportunities for Brazilian producers, capitalizing on Africa’s vast potential for demographic and economic growth.
With this milestone, Brazilian agribusiness celebrates its 434th market opening since early 2023, spanning 72 global destinations.
This success underscores the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) in strengthening Brazil’s position in global agribusiness.
