Brazil secures market access in Peru for poultry oil
The governments of Brazil and Peru have successfully concluded negotiations allowing Brazil to export poultry oil for use in animal feed to the Peruvian market.
In 2024, Brazil exported over USD 755 million in agricultural products to Peru, with key exports including forest products, chicken meat, cereals, soybean oil, and coffee.
With a population of 34 million and a livestock sector undergoing continuous growth, Peru presents a rising demand for inputs in animal nutrition.
This latest agreement marks Brazil’s 49th market access in 2025, bringing the total to 349 new trade opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These results reflect the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
