Brazil Expands Agribusiness Exports to Costa Rica
Agribusiness Exports
The governments of Brazil and Costa Rica have finalized sanitary and phytosanitary agreements authorizing the export of bovine by-products for animal feed and popcorn maize from Brazil to the Central American country.
In 2024, Brazil exported more than US$ 272 million in agricultural products to Costa Rica, with highlights including cereals, flours and preparations, and soybean complex products.
With this new opening, Brazil has now secured 419 market access authorizations since January 2023, reinforcing its role as a reliable global supplier of food, fiber, and renewable energy.
These results are the outcome of coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
