Brazil celebrates new market access in Hong Kong

The Brazilian government has received sanitary approval from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China to export bird feathers from Brazil. 

These feathers have various industrial uses, including the manufacture of pillows, cushions, bedding, and upholstery, as well as being used as raw material in thermal and acoustic insulation products. 

This market access expands the market for Brazilian poultry products, reflecting confidence in Brazil's sanitary control system. It also strengthens commercial relations with the Hong Kong SAR, which imported more than USD 1.15 billion in Brazilian agribusiness products last year. 

With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness reaches its 72nd market access this year, totaling 150 market openings since the beginning of 2023. 

These achievements result from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
