Regulatory Sandboxes

According to Complementary Law No. 182/2021, an experimental regulatory environment (regulatory sandbox) is a set of simplified special conditions. It enables participating legal entities to obtain temporary authorisation from sectoral regulatory bodies or entities to develop innovative business models and test experimental techniques and technologies, subject to compliance with criteria and limits previously established by the regulatory authority and through a simplified procedure.
