Public Affairs
Through its Board of Directors and Institutional Advisory Office, ANEEL maintains a close relationship with the Executive and Legislative branches, as well as with investors in the electricity sector.
Governamental Relations
ANEEL’s Parliamentary Advisory Office supports the Agency’s Board of Directors in responding to demands from parliamentarians across the three levels of government, as well as representatives of the Executive and Judiciary branches at federal, state and municipal levels. This includes handling requests for meetings with the Board and ANEEL’s superintendencies; managing invitations for Agency representatives to participate in Public Hearings within the Legislature; and managing enquiries submitted through official letters, requests, consultations and telephone calls from representatives of the Executive and Legislative branches.
Monitoring the legislative process is systematic and supports the Agency’s position regarding improvements to legislative proposals related to the electricity sector.

Investor Relations
ANEEL places great importance on its relationship with investors in the electricity sector, fostering confidence in the sector's stability through balanced regulation and by providing maximum transparency to stakeholders participating in the auctions and procurement processes conducted by the Agency.
Engagement with this audience takes place through, among other channels, the participation of ANEEL directors and senior officials in workshops and seminars organized by major banks and investment fund managers. The Agency also regularly hosts Meetings with Electricity Sector Investment Analysts, during which at least one ANEEL Director addresses questions from this influential group of opinion leaders.
Investors, analysts, and investment consultants also participate in the public hearings and public consultations conducted by ANEEL, and their views are taken into account in the development of regulatory instruments.
The Agency also promotes the identification, management, and maintenance of multilateral initiatives and cooperation agreements with international organizations in the technical, scientific, and educational fields. This responsibility falls under the International Affairs Advisory Office (AIT).
AIT is responsible for initiating, maintaining, facilitating, and monitoring cooperation with countries, their regulatory agencies, and international organizations, as well as coordinating related meetings and visits.
Organizations within AIT's scope of activities include the Ibero-American Association of Energy Regulatory Entities (Ariae), the Association of Energy Regulators of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Relop), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), among others.
