Cooperation Projects among Higher Learning Qualification Institutions (PCI)

 Portaria CAPES nº 120.Ordinance CAPES nº 120 (June 26^th, 2023) disciplined the Cooperation Projects for the Qualification of Higher Education Professionals (PCI).

 PCIs are national or international projects which create temporary master (Minter) and/or doctorate (Dinter) classes – academic or professional – conducted by a promoting institution holding a post-graduation stricto sensu program in the facilities of a host institution.

 PCI proposals are to be submitted to Capes for documental and merit analyses by the evaluation area to which the Promoting Program is attached.

Proposals must follow the regulations established by the respective Public Calls.

PCIs must be conducted and presented by a single master and/or doctorate promoting program recognized by the Superior Educational Chamber of the National Education Council (CED/CNE) and homologated by the Minister of Education. Minimum grades  are 4 (four) for master and 5 (five) to doctorate courses in at least one of the Permanency Evaluations.

Among the objectives of the programs are the qualifications of masters and doctorate professionals outside the consolidated learning and research centers, thus reducing regional assymetries, strengthening research teams and the qualification of human resources for the job market.

Each promoting program may register concomitantly only one master and one doctorate class at Sucupira Platform. They are allowed to submit a project for a new class as soon as the previuos class finishes its activities. This item must be observed also by institutions with on-going projects.

Requests for the opennings of  PCIs must be inserted at the SucupiraPlatform by the promoting Program Coordination and authorized by the Pro-Rectory or equivalent organ.of the promoting institution.

The programs must start their activities in up to 24 months(2 years) counting from the disclosure of results by Capes.

Attention: PCI classes offered by free public institutions can not charges fees such as enrollment taxes and other payments..
