PRESS ACCREDITATION
Press Accreditation – 67th Summit of Heads of State of MERCOSUR and Associated States
On December 20, 2025, Brazil will host the 67th Summit of Heads of State of MERCOSUR and Associated States in Foz do Iguaçu (State of Paraná). The Summit will be preceded, on December 19, 2025, by the 67th Ordinary Meeting of the Common Market Council (CMC), as well as meetings of Foreign Ministers of MERCOSUR member and associated states, and Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of member states and special guests.
ACCREDITATION – Accreditation requests must be submitted by 6 p.m. (Brasília time) on December 15, 2025, through the Press Accreditation System on the website of the Planalto Palace, including for those who already hold an annual credential issued by the Planalto Palace.
All media professionals wishing to cover the event must select the option: “Cúpula de Chefes de Estado do MERCOSUL / Summit of Heads of State of MERCOSUR and Associated States.”
Accreditation for the Summit will be valid for all events on December 19 and 20 and will grant access to the Press Center for coverage on both days.
This accreditation process is not open to the Official Press of the countries participating in the Summit.
IMPORTANT – The following limits per media outlet will apply:
- Television: 1 reporter, 1 cameraman, 1 technician and 1 assistant
- Radio: 1 reporter and 1 radio technician
- Newspaper/Magazine: 1 reporter and 1 photojournalist
- News Agency: 1 reporter and 1 photojournalist
- News Portal (Internet outlets): 1 reporter, 1 photojournalist and 1 technician
Due to the limited space and operational requirements of the event, press access will necessarily be restricted. Accordingly, accreditation requests will be evaluated based on the representativeness of media outlets and countries, as well as on available capacity, and it may not be possible to approve all applications.
The location and period for credential pickup will be announced in due course.
