President Lula attends the 67th Summit of MERCOSUR Heads of State and Associated States

On Saturday, December 20, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will attend the 67th Summit of MERCOSUR Heads of State and Associated States, in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.

The Summit will be preceded by the 67th Ordinary Meeting of the Common Market Council (CMC), to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, at the Bourbon Hotel. The program also includes meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of MERCOSUR member and associated states, as well as meetings of the Ministers of Economy and the Presidents of the Central Banks of the member states, in addition to special guests.

PRESS CREDENTIAL PICK-UP — The accreditation request period closed on December 15 (as per the accreditation notice published on December 10). The Press Center is located at the Bourbon Cataratas do Iguaçu Thermas Eco Resort. Press access will be exclusively through the Pátio da Mata entrance (Address: Av. das Cataratas, 2345 – Vila Yolanda, Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná).

Credential pick-up will require the presentation of an official identification document. Credentials are personal and non-transferable and must be worn at all times during the event. Media organizations wishing to designate an authorized representative to collect credentials on behalf of their professionals must submit an official document listing the names, CPF numbers (or passport numbers in the case of foreign nationals), and professional roles of each participant, as well as the name of the authorized bearer, expressly granting authorization for credential pick-up, to be sent to credenciais@presidencia.gov.br.

December 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

IMPORTANT: Accredited members of the press are advised that, on December 20, transportation will be provided from the Press Center at the Bourbon Hotel to the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, where the MERCOSUR Summit will take place. As the venue is located within Iguaçu National Park, access for the press will be exclusively via official transportation organized by the event. Independent access to the hotel will not be permitted. The transportation schedule for accredited media will be communicated in the coming days.
