On Saturday, November 16, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) for the first bilateral meeting of the G20. The Brazilian President and the Secretary-General discussed the G20 Social, the agenda of the G20 Summit, the progress of COP29, and the ongoing climate and environment negotiations in Baku, Azerbaijan, which are taking place in parallel with the G20 activities.
