Lula receives State Visit from the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in Brasilia

The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will receive the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, at the Alvorada Palace on November 20. The meeting will start at 10:00 AM (Brasilia time). The two leaders will discuss bilateral relations.

Press professionals interested in covering the visit must obtain specific accreditation for this agenda. Permanent press credentials from the Presidency of the Republic will not be accepted on the day of the visit. The deadline for requesting accreditation is strictly 5:00 PM on November 18, 2024, without exception.

There will be three points of coverage for the Alvorada Palace:

a)      Coverage of the arrival of President Xi Jinping (image professionals)

b)      Coverage of the greetings of President Lula and President Xi Jinping (image professionals)

c)      Coverage, inside the Alvorada, of the press statement (image and text professionals) 

Due to limited space, each press vehicle must be represented by only one image professional (either a photographer or camera operator). There will be no questions at the press conference. The number of text and image professionals who will be allowed at this time will be informed in due course.

Credentials for the event must be picked up by 6:00 PM on November 19 at the Press Accreditation Coordination Office (Coordenação de Credenciamento de Imprensa), located in the Planalto Palace (1^st basement level, room no. 5) in Brasília.

In addition to the agenda at the Alvorada Palace, a dinner for image and text professionals will be held at the Itamaraty Palace on November 20, also limited to one professional per press vehicle.
