President Lula invited President Erdogan for a state visit to Brazil and expressed a desire to visit Türkiye again

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with Türkiye’s President Recep Erdogan late Sunday afternoon, November 17, in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian President invited President Erdogan for a state visit to Brazil and expressed a desire to visit Türkiye again to strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Erdogan suggested the creation of a high council to deepen the relationship between the two nations. The Turkish President also proposed partnerships in civil aviation and defense, as well as in the construction and energy sectors, including in the new Growth Acceleration Program (Novo PAC).
