President Lula receives phone call from President of Russia, Vladimir Putin

Leaders discussed agenda for upcoming BRICS Summit, to be held next month in Kazan, as well as bilateral relations

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received a phone call from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, this Wednesday morning.

President Putin expressed solidarity with Brazil in the face of the current wildfires.

The two presidents discussed the meeting and themes that will be addressed during the BRICS Summit, scheduled for next month in Kazan, as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.

They also spoke about Brazil and China's joint peace proposal for the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
