PUBLIC CALL TO LEASE A SPACE FOR THE EMBASSY OF BRAZIL IN YANGON

By means of this public call, the Embassy of Brazil in Yangon announces its intention to lease a property to install its chancery, starting on January 10th, 2025. The property must have the following specifications:

• Approximately 400-500 square meters of built space.

• 2 to 5 years fixed lease term (the contract will not be automatically renewed).

• Location: Bahan (Golden Valley); Inya Lake; Kandawgyi Lake; Dagon. Proximity to other embassies and/or to government offices is an advantage.

• The building must have at least 8 closed/partitioned offices, with approximately 9-15 sqm each; and a kitchen with at least 9sqm.

• Parking space for 6 vehicles.

• Contract must include the following clauses:

(1)    diplomatic clause: should allow the termination of the contract at no cost to the lessee, in the event of suspension or cessation of diplomatic or consular relations between the countries.

(2)    termination clause: should permit, after the period of notice (ideally of 60 days), the termination of the contract in case of closure of the Embassy or its relocation to another city.

(3)    structural damage clauses: should allow the immediate termination of the contract by the lessee in case the premises are rendered untenantable or insecure by structural or irreversible damage caused to the building, including by events of force majeure.
