Honorary Consulate in Mauritius
Honorary consular functions are exercised by Brazilian or foreign citizens willing to act on behalf of the Brazil and its nationals.
The honorary consul is not a public servant of the diplomatic career, nor a paid employee of the Brazilian government. The honorary consul is a volunteer.
The honorary consul assists Brazilians, within the limits of their jurisdictions, helping them to exercise and defend their rights. In addition, he promotes cultural, commercial and scientific exchange between Brazil and the Republic of Mauritius.
The honorary consul is not authorised to issue passports, visas or notarial documents.
