Embaixador Orlando Leite Ribeiro

Orlando Leite Ribeiro é o atual Embaixador do Brasil na República Tcheca Formado em economia, é diplomata de carreira há mais de 30 anos. No Ministério das Relações Exteriores atuou nas divisões de Política Financeira; de Integração Regional; e de Agricultura, da qual foi chefe. Foi ainda Diretor do Departamento de Promoção Comercial e Investimentos e, entre 2019 e 2022 foi secretário de Comércio e Relações Internacionais do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento.

No exterior, serviu no Setor de Promoção Comercial e Atração de Investimentos em Nova York e nas embaixadas em Assunção e Washington D.C. E também foi Embaixador do Brasil junto ao Reino da Espanha e ao Principado de Andorra entre 2022 e 2025.

Entre outros cargos, foi Vice-Presidente do Conselho de Administração da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa), membro dos Comitês de Gestão Executiva da Câmara de Comércio Exterior (Gecex/Camex) e de Créditos e Garantias à Exportação (Cofig), e também conselheiro do Centro de Estudos de Comércio Exterior (Funcex) e da Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos (Apex-Brasil).

Ele é casado com Renata Abreu e Lima e tem duas filhas de um casamento anterior: Ana Gabriela, advogada, e Ana Beatriz, arquiteta.

Orlando Leite Ribeiro is the current Ambassador of Brazil to the Czech Republic. A graduate in Economics, he has been a career diplomat for over 30 years. Within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has served in the Divisions of Financial Policy, Regional Integration, and Agriculture, the latter of which he headed. He also served as the Director of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, and between 2019 and 2022 he held the position of Secretary for Trade and International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply.

Abroad, he served at the Brazilian Government Trade Bureau in New York, and at the Brazilian Embassies in Asunción and Washington, D.C. He was also Ambassador of Brazil to the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra, from 2022 to 2025.

Among other positions he has been Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), a member of the Executive Management Committees of the Foreign Trade Chamber (Gecex/Camex) and of the Committee for Export Credits and Guarantees (Cofig), as well as a member of the Boards of the Foreign Trade Studies Center Foundation (Funcex) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

He is married to Renata Abreu e Lima and has two daughters from his previous marriage: Ana Gabriela, a lawyer, and Ana Beatriz, an architect.
