PUBLIC NOTICE Nº 1/2025
The Selection Committee of the Embassy of Brazil to the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, designated by Ambassador Maria Elisa Teófilo de Luna, invites applications, through the present Public Notice Nº 1/2025, to the following vacant position as member of the Embassy, to be assigned in the Official Residence:

The Embassy offers a monthly gross salary of TT$ 8,392.80 (eight thousand, three hundred and ninety-two TT dollars and eighty cents), for a work schedule of five days out of seven a week, for eight hours within a 24-hour period, not exceeding 40 hours weekly.

The Embassy grants yearly to all its employees 30 days’ vacation per annum with full payment, after completion of the first year of employment, to be taken at times convenient both to the Embassy and the employee.

The employee will be entitled to 10 calendar days’ sick leave per annum after six months continuous service.

The employee will be entitled to five (5) personal days per annum after six months continuous service.

The Embassy also grants the employer’s share of the Social Security System and Health Surcharge contribution.

To apply, the candidates must send, no later than December 2nd 2025, scanned copies of the mandatory documents listed below to the email - administ.portspain@itamaraty.gov.br - , with the subject heading ‘Selection Process 1/2025 – application’, followed by the name of the applicant (candidates must be 18 years old or above). Only applications with scanned copies of the following full set of required documents will be accepted:

Application form with personal details and recent photo attached;

Curriculum vitae;

Identity card, driver’s permit and/or passport;

School certificate;
-
Evidence of language proficiency level in English (if school certificate is from a non-English speaking country) or Portuguese;

Brazilian candidates and candidates from third countries must provide valid working and residence permits in Trinidad & Tobago, with legal entitlement to take paid employment;

Recent criminal record check or any similar document;
-
Recent certificate of health obtained from an authorized medical doctor;

Brazilian candidates must present electoral voting compliance record;

Brazilian male candidates, from 18 to 45 years old, must provide proof of compliance with military duties (military certificate); and
-
At least one reference letter from recent former employers.

After the Selection Committee verifies the full set of documents, personal interviews with preselected candidates will be done to assess professional background and aptitude in English/Portuguese language. Additionally, each preselected candidate will have to undergo an individual and practical culinary test. Both the interview and the testing will be held on a specific date and time to be later informed by the Committee. The interview will take place at the Embassy’s address, as follows:

On the date of the interview, the shortlisted applicants must present the original documents of all scanned copies previously sent by email, as requested in item 5. For verification purpose, photocopies of those documents must be handed in an envelope to the Committee and will be retained in the Embassy files. The application form must be signed with photo attached. Except for the original of (1) the application form, of (2) the criminal record check, of (3) the health certificate, and of (4) the reference letter(s) - which will also be retained in the Embassy files - all original documents will be only used to verify the photocopies. No photocopy can be made at the Embassy, neither will any original document without its corresponding photocopy be accepted (except for the four documents indicated above).
