CPF for non-Brazilian citizens
Non-Brazilian citizens who intend to study or work in Brazil, who have business in Brazil or who are married to a Brazilian citizen should request a CPF number, which is mandatory for operations as opening a bank account, making financial transactions, buying/selling properties and other legal matters.
Brazilian citizens with dual citizenship must apply for a CPF as a Brazilian.
