10 YEARS OF COOPERATION IN INNOVATION: THE PATH TO SUCCESS

This session will try to answer the question “what is the roadmap to success?”. The panel brings forth success stories from each area of the bilateral cooperation in innovation and includes the participation of funding agencies. The participants will point out breakthrough moments, challenges and strategies that made possible the success of each case.

Sustainable Cities

"Continuous Networking Paves the Way for Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange" - Within this focus area, activities are based on the public sector's need to address various environmental and sustainability-related challenges through collaboration and smart technology. By thematically sharing perspectives on current challenges and experiences from ongoing projects, a foundation is created for new joint initiatives involving municipalities, researchers, and companies (including industry, SMEs, and startups). 

Bioeconomy

"Building Bridges for a Sustainable Future" - The Brazil–Sweden Cooperation for Innovation in Bioeconomy is constantly expanding its network of partners to foster dialogue and deliver impactful joint development initiatives. This successful collaboration has already led to eight funded projects, involving institutions across five Brazilian states and spanning the length of Sweden from south to north. 

Life Science and Digital Health 
Martin Schalling, Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital 
Collaborations between Brazil and Sweden in the Health area. This presentation will give examples of collaborations in the health area. It will cover both long-term network building between the countries and between industry and academia. It will also present an example of a Brazil-Sweden collaborative research project.

ENERGY TRANSITION TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE MINING: POTENTIAL OF BILATERAL PARTNERSHIP
