Casa Brasil: exclusive space at the Paris Olympics will immerse visitors in Brazilian culture
Get ready for an explosion of colors, flavors, and sounds! Brazil will have an exclusive space during the Olympic Games in Paris. Casa Brasil, located at Parc La Villette, will feature music, gastronomy, and crafts that will bring the cultural richness of Brazil to the French capital, as well as being a meeting point for athletes and Brazilian fans during the 17 days of competition - from July 26 to August 11.
Casa Brasil will be part of a 5,000 square meter space that will receive more than 15 million people from all over the world, including fans, athletes, authorities, celebrities, and tourists - all will be able to learn a little more about the joy, colors, and diversity of Brazil.
According to Marcelo Freixo, president of Brazilian Tourist Board (Visit Brasil/Embratur), the space will be a connection point for the Brazilian people with the world. "Embratur is preparing, together with the other partners of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the best Casa Brasil in history, and those who visit us will leave with a taste of 'wanting more', the desire to get to know up close the joy and diversity of the Brazilian people," he emphasized.
Brazilian Tourist Board (Visit Brasil/Embratur) is a sponsor of Casa Brasil in partnership with Sebrae, a Brazilian institution supporting entrepreneurship for small and micro-entrepreneurs. The president of Sebrae, Décio Lima, highlighted the expectation of having Casa Brasil as another opportunity to promote the country abroad and strengthen Brazilian micro and small businesses overseas. "Sebrae and Embratur are working in synergy to ensure the promotion of tourism and the opening of new markets for small businesses", he said.
Casa Brasil will operate every day of the Olympics, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will host cultural and musical performances, as well as celebrations for each medal won by Brazil. In addition, it will be a space to receive international authorities.
A bit of Brazil in France
The interior of Casa Brasil will have two floors, a first floor of 2,000 m², with a stage structure and permanent activities that will be used to promote Brazilian tourist destinations. There is also a central structure for displaying gastronomy. On the second floor, the space will have a VIP area, meeting rooms, and a recording studio. The exterior will also have a synthetic lawn with various activities, game broadcasts, shows, and cultural performances, as well as typical Brazilian cuisine. The entire structure will meet accessibility and sustainability requirements, with reduced carbon emissions.
In addition to giving visitors the sensation of being in a Brazilian destination, Casa Brasil will instigate a true Brazilian immersion for those who pass by. In all areas (external and internal), Brazilian colors highlight the environments. Visitors will also have access to a climbing wall, skate park, sand court, Instagrammable wall with Brazilian plants in the background, and an immersive tunnel that, through panels, will bring our Brazilian essence to the eyes of the world.
