Brazilian citizens below the age of 18 can only travel to another country, out of Brazil, when they travel together with their legal guardians. This also applies to Brazilian citizens who are also a citizen of another country, including the country that they will travel to. Brazilian citizens below the age of 18 who will travel alone, with another person, or with only one legal guardian must be authorized to do so by the legal guardians who will not travel with them. The Brazilian Federal Police may also require such authorization when the minor is not yet a Brazilian citizen, but whose parent is a Brazilian citizen. |
