E-Visa/Visitor Visa (VIVIS) is required for citizens from Australia, Canada, and the USA who plan to visit Brazil for tourism, business, transit, sport or artistic activities, for stays of up to 90 days.
Brazilian citizens who hold dual citizenship are NOT eligible for any type of Brazilian visa. Brazilian citizens must travel using a valid Brazilian passport.
Visit Visa (for short term stays - up to 90 days - with no intention of establishing residence)
Temporary Visas (for those who wish to establish temporary residence in Brazil):
- Temporary Visa X - Relevant economic, scientific, technological or cultural activities (not yet regulated)
Please note:
- all visa applications (except e-Visas) must be lodged at the Consular Section after the online form has been completed.
- holders of Brazilian visas who change passports after the visa has been issued must travel to Brazil with both passports as long as the visa remains valid.
