E-visa
E-Visa/Visitor Visa (VIVIS) is required for citizens from Australia, Canada, and the United States who plan to visit Brazil for tourism, business, transit, sport or artistic activities, for stays of up to 90 days.
Brazilian citizens who hold dual citizenship are NOT eligible for any type of Brazilian visa. Brazilian citizens must travel using a valid Brazilian passport.
Citizens of Australia, Canada, and the United States travelling to Brazil for tourism or business may apply online for an electronic visa exclusively through the VFS Global portal. With the e-Visa, applicants do not need to attend Brazilian Consulates or Embassies to lodge their application. The e-visa allows for stays up to 90 days and is valid for up to 5 years with multiple entries.
Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa) is available for those travelling to Brazil for maximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention of establishing residence, for the purpose of:
- Tourism and Transit
- Business

HOW TO APPLY
- You must obtain the E-Visa before purchasing airline tickets or making any travel arrangements. You do not need to have an airline ticket to apply for an e-Visa.
- There are no expedited processing options or fees available for the E-Visa.
- You must apply for the E-Visa through the VFS GLOBAL portal. VFS GLOBAL is the company authorized by the Brazilian Government to handle E-Visa applications.
- All E-Visa requests must be submitted through VFS GLOBAL.
- Applications are 100% online; no physical documents are required.
- Upon approval, applicants will receive the E-Visa by email from VFS Global.

Remarks
- Please note that issuing or denying a visa is a sovereign act of Governments. It is a prerogative applied by every country and strengthened by international practice.
- The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation.
- A visa shall be denied to any foreign citizen who, when submitting his/her application, behaves in an aggressive, insulting or disrespectful way.

Terms and Conditions

- The duration of stay on an e-Visa is limited to 90 days maximum, unless otherwise stated.
- Foreigners holding an e-Visa may not stay more than 180 days per year in Brazil.
- Extensions may be issued once the applicant is in Brazil, at the discretion of Brazilian immigration authorities.
