TERREMOTO NA TURQUIA
Registrou-se, na madrugada desta segunda-feira, 6/2/23, terremoto de magnitude 7,8 graus na Escala Richter, com epicentro em Pazarcik, a 55 km de Gaziantep, no sul da Turquia, próximo da fronteira com a Síria, país também atingido pelo sismo. Tremores secundários, de força variada (o mais forte de 7,5 graus), continuam sendo sentidos em várias partes do país.
Segundo fontes oficiais, há registro, até o momento, de 1.014 mortes e de 7.003 feridos. Sob condições climáticas adversas, mais de 9.000 pessoas trabalham nos esforços de busca e resgate, com 2.400 pessoas tendo sido resgatadas dos escombros dos 2.818 prédios que desabaram. Há relatos de danos à infraestrutura de transporte e comunicações de várias cidades na região.
Não há, atualmente, registro de brasileiros mortos ou feridos.Indivíduos que precisam de assistência imediata e de emergência devem ligar para as autoridades turcas usando o número de telefone 112. Sugerimos que todos os cidadãos evitem áreas danificadas e não entrem em prédios danificados até que as autoridades turcas os considerem seguros.

EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY
