Customs clearance is required at your first point of entry into Brazil, regardless of your final destination inside the country.
Once you land in a Brazilian airport, right after passing immigration control, please claim your baggage and go through customs. At this point, an agent may ask to inspect your luggage. When that procedure is finished, you can re-check your baggage if you have a domestic connection.
- If you are bringing in or exporting goods that you should declare according to Brazilian regulations, please prepare in advance your Electronic Declaration of Travelers Goods (e-DBV) and proceed to the “Goods to Declare” (Red) channel.
- Otherwise, just proceed to the “Nothing to Declare” (Green) channel, follow instructions from the customs agents and enjoy your stay!
