O governo brasileiro repudia, nos mais fortes termos, os ataques racistas que o atleta brasileiro Vinícius Júnior vem sofrendo reiteradamente na Espanha.
Tendo em conta a gravidade dos fatos e a ocorrência de mais um inadmissível episódio, em jogo realizado no dia 21/05, naquele país, o governo brasileiro lamenta profundamente que, até o momento, não tenham sido tomadas providências efetivas para prevenir e evitar a repetição desses atos de racismo. Insta as autoridades governamentais e esportivas da Espanha a tomarem as providências necessárias, a fim de punir os perpetradores e evitar a recorrência desses atos. Apela, igualmente, à FIFA, à Federação Espanhola e à Liga a aplicar as medidas cabíveis.
O governo brasileiro tem atuado em cooperação com o governo da Espanha para coibir, reprimir e promover políticas de igualdade racial e compartilhar conhecimento e boas práticas para ampliar o acesso de pessoas afrodescendentes e imigrantes ao esporte com total intolerância a toda e qualquer prática discriminatória, com o apoio ao aperfeiçoamento das melhores práticas internacionais para promover a prevenção e o combate ao racismo, além de qualquer tipo de discriminação nas diferentes modalidades de esportes.

Press release by the Brazilian government
The Brazilian government strongly condemns the racist attacks that Brazilian athlete Vinícius Júnior has been repeatedly subjected to in Spain.
Considering the seriousness of the incidents and the occurrence of yet another unacceptable episode during a match held on 21/5 in Spain, the Brazilian government deeply regrets that, thus far, no effective measures have been taken to prevent and deter the recurrence of these acts of racism. It urges the Spanish government and sports authorities to take the necessary steps in order to punish the perpetrators and prevent the recurrence of such acts. It also calls on FIFA, the Spanish Federation and the League to enforce the appropriate measures.
The Brazilian government has been cooperating with the Spanish government to combat and suppress racial inequality and to promote policies that ensures equal opportunities for Afro-descendants and immigrants in sport, with zero tolerance for any form of discriminatory practices. It supports the enhancement of international best practices to promote the prevention and fight against racism, as well as any form of discrimination in various sports disciplines.
