Honorary consulates
The Consulate-General of Brazil in Tokyo has two Honorary Consulates in the cities of Sapporo and Sendai. The main objective of the Honorary Consulates, which have no employment relationship with the Federative Republic of Brazil, is to defend the rights of and provide assistance, emergency or otherwise, to members of the Brazilian community residing or passing through their jurisdiction.
Honorary Consulates are dedicated exclusively to serving Brazilian citizens and cannot issue visas.
Sapporo
Titleholder: The Honorary Consulate in Sapporo is temporarily without a holder.
