-
Visa fee payment receipt (containing name, date, amount and reference number);
-
Covering letters: personal and from the company (containing relevant information about the applicant and the intended trip);
-
Invitation letter (see instructions below) from the event organizers, or similar document proving the foreigner's participation in the event or activity to be held;
-
Reservation of air tickets and hotel bookings - DO NOT confirm and pay for the reservations before receiving your visa;

-
For minors: visa authorization form, signed by both parents and notarized;
-
Other specific documents for each type of visa.
Prior booking via e-consular is strictly required.
The completion of the visa application form online does not constitute submission of the visa application to the Consulate.
On the scheduled appointment day all the original documents must be presented by the applicant/agent at the Consulate, in addition to the online form, with a recent photo attached, and signed.
If presented by an agent, she/he must show her/his Aadhaar card and the authority letter signed by the applicant, both original.
Documents presented by email will not be accepted, unless requested to do so by the Consulate.
Whenever deemed necessary, the consular authority may conduct an in-person interview and/or request additional documents and clarifications.
The consular authority may deny a visa to:
-
Whoever does not meet the requirements for the type of visa requested;
-
Whoever demonstrably conceals a condition that prevents the granting of a visa or entry into the country;
- Whoever presents contradictory or false information when applying for a visa;
-
Whoever, when applying for a visa, behaves in an aggressive, insulting or disrespectful manner towards the agents of the Brazilian consular service.
NOTE:
Granting or not granting a visa is a sovereign decision of the foreign State and, also as a matter of national security, there is no warrant for the Consulate to provide additional information to the applicant whose visa has not been granted.
Rejection of a visa does not prevent the submission of a new application, which may be or may not be approved, as long as the requirements for the type of visa requested are met.
There is no refund of consular fees.

Foreigners holding an expired passport with a valid Brazilian visa may enter Brazilian territory upon presentation of the visa and a valid passport.
