Tourist and Business Visas for USA, Canada and Australia Citizens
Citizens from the USA, Canada, and Australia who intend to travel to Brazil on tourism or business should apply for electronically issued visas (e-visa) through the following website: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/
US citizens who also have Brazilian citizenship are not eligible to apply for a Brazilian visa.
The Consulate General of Brazil will not be receiving physical applications for tourism or business visas for citizens of these countries.
OTHER TYPES OF VISAS
- The Consulate accepts visa applications from residents in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- Processing time can take up to several weeks and will be determined by the Consulate. Thus, it is highly recommended visas be requested in advance.
- The Consulate DOES NOT answer inquiries about visa status. The applicant may check his/her visa status here or the tracking number of the envelopes sent.
- The Consulate will determine the type of visa that applies to each case based on the information/documentation provided.
- Visa fees are non-refundable. Please be very careful upon submitting your visa application. Incorrect, incomplete and withdrawn applications will be charged regardless of whether the visa is granted or not.
- The Consulate does not offer express services nor does it charge expediting fees.
