Mandatory update of CPF registration data

Since January 13th 2025, all non-Brazilian citizens who already have a CPF number and live abroad must update annually their CPF registration data.  

In order to do so, they must download the Receita Federal app on their mobile phones. 
1.    Insert their CPF number;
2.    Take a selfie holding  their passport below the face, keeping the identification page open;
3.    Fill out the information requested.  

Applicants who are unable to do so due to inconsistencies on their data should follow these procedures:

Send an e-mail to legalizacao.atlanta@itamaraty.gov.br attaching:
- printscreen of the error message generated by the Receita Federal app;
- Identification page of the passport or RNE/CRNM.
