The Regional Administrative Court of Lazio, Italy, announced this Thursday its decision to grant the appeals by Brazil and the government of Italy to revoke the prior restraining order suspending the extradition of Henrique Pizzolato.
The extradition order granted by the Italian Ministry of Justice will once again take full effect. Brazil will be able to extradite Henrique Pizzolato as soon as the Italian Ministry of Justice establishes a new date for the transfer.
Defense counsel can still appeal the June 4 decision to the Italian Council of State. If necessary, Brazil is also ready to take action before the Council.
The case before the Lazio Administrative Regional Tribunal will enter the judgement phase on Henrique Pizzolato’s appeal in a hearing that is yet to be scheduled.
