The Brazilian Government notes with serious concern the terrorist attacks that took place last weekend in six cities in Mali, including the capital, Bamako. The attacks caused a still unconfirmed number of civilian and military casualties, among them that country’s Minister of Defense, General Sadio Camara.
While expressing sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a quick recovery to the injured, Brazil reiterates its firm repudiation of all acts of terrorism, under any pretext.
There are no reports of Brazilian citizens among the victims of the attacks. The consular emergency helpline of the Brazilian Embassy in Bamako is +223 74 74 95 24.
