Representation of Mexico’s diplomatic interests in Peru

At the request of the Mexican government, and with the consent of the Government of Peru, Brazil has assumed the representation of Mexico’s diplomatic interests in Peruvian territory, pursuant to subparagraphs (b) and (c) of Article 45 of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. This representation includes the safeguarding of the premises of the Embassy of Mexico in Peru, including the residence of the head of mission, as well as its property and archives.
