Condolences on the death of the Cape Verdean singer Cesária Évora

On 20 December 2011, the Minister of External Relations, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, sent a condolence letter to the Minister of External Relations of Cape Verde, Jorge Borges, in which he regrets the death, last 17 December, of the singer Cesária Évora, an exponent of Cape Verdean culture in the international scene.

In the letter, Brazil joins those who comfort the grieving family and all Cape Verdeans in this moment of deep grief and also calls to memory, in which she will forever remain, the artist who sang her country.
