Brazil-France Cultural Year 2025 – Joint MRE/MinC Press Release

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture celebrate the realization of the Brazil-France Cultural Year 2025.

The initiative for the Brazil-France Cultural Year 2025 was agreed upon by Presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Emmanuel Macron in 2023, resuming the successful experiences of the Year of Brazil in France (2005) and the Year of France in Brazil (2009).

The program of the Brazilian season in France will include various activities to be held until September in more than 50 French cities. These activities will encompass initiatives in the artistic field as well as in academic, scientific, technological, educational, and environmental cooperation, with the long-term objective of strengthening ties between Brazilian and French societies.

The coordination of the Brazilian cultural program in France is carried out in partnership between the Guimarães Rosa Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, and the Institut Français. The Social Communication Secretariat and the Chief of Staff’s Office of the Presidency of the Republic are also participating.
