Attack against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA)

Brazil, alongside the  other members of the United Nations Security Council, condemned in the strongest terms the attack perpetrated on July 10 against the UN Mission in the Central African Republic, which resulted in the death of a Rwandan soldier serving with the mission.

In reiterating its firm rejection of any and all attacks against UN peacekeeping operations personnel, Brazil reaffirms its support for the work of the mission and for international efforts to bring stability to the Central African Republic.

The Brazilian government expresses its condolences to the family of the soldier and to the government and people of Rwanda.
