Appointment of the Permanent Representative of Brazil to the WTO
The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform the appointment of Ambassador Guilherme de Aguiar Patriota as Permanent Representative of Brazil to the World Trade Organization and other economic organizations based in Geneva.
Ambassador Guilherme de Aguiar Patriota currently holds the post of Consul General of Brazil in Tokyo (2021). He was Consul General of Brazil in Mumbai (2019-2021), Special Representative of Brazil to the Conference on Disarmament (2018-2019), Alternate Permanent Delegate of the Permanent Delegation of Brazil in Geneva (2015-2018), Alternate Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York (2013-2015), and Special Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic (2010-2013)
According to the Constitution, this designation will be submitted to the Federal Senate for consideration.
