Agrément granted to Ambassador-designate of Brazil to Sweden

The Brazilian government is pleased to inform that the government of the Kingdom of Sweden has granted its agrément to the appointment of Ambassador Maria Edileuza Fontenele Reis as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Brazil to that country.

Currently serving as the Ambassador of Brazil to Bulgaria, Maria Edileuza Fontenele Reis previously held positions as the Permanent Delegate of Brazil to UNESCO (2017-2019) and Consul-General in Paris (2014-2017). In Brazil, she served as Under Secretary-General for Policy II (2010-2014).

In accordance with the Constitution, the appointment will be submitted for consideration by the Federal Senate.
