Beginning Thursday (18), radio stations broadcasting in English will have a new direct and accessible source of information: G20 radio bulletins. This initiative, in collaboration with the National Radio Network of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), now offers English versions in addition to Portuguese and Spanish radio bulletins. The bulletins are available on the following websites: redenacionalderadio.ebc.com.br and g20.org.
The audio content aims to provide broadcasters and the general audience with public and easily accessible information about the G20, an international cooperation forum comprised of the world's largest economies, which will be chaired by Brasil in 2024. The partnership with the National Radio Network aims to ensure that this information reaches a global audience, particularly in the Group's member countries.
The launch of the English-language bulletins reflects the Brazilian government's strategy of strengthening ties and diplomacy with English-speaking countries around the world. In addition to promoting accessible communication, the initiative seeks to align Brasil's diplomatic priorities and reinforce President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's government's commitment to developing strong, collaborative relationships to address the world's common challenges. The production of content in English also strengthens Brasil's position as a leader in promoting international cooperation.
Brasil has assumed a leading global role by hosting the G20. Throughout the year, over 120 meetings of various working groups will be held in 15 Brazilian cities, both virtually and physically. The G20 Summit, scheduled for November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro, will bring together Heads of State and Government. All events will be covered by the G20 platforms.
