Anac and EASA sign amendment to the Agreement for Airworthiness and Environmental Certification
The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (Anac) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) signed, on October 14th, an amendment to the Technical Implementation Procedures (TIP) for airworthiness and environmental certification, Revision 5. Anac’s Head of Airworthiness Department, Roberto José Silveira Honorato, and EASA’s Certification Director, Rachel Daeschler, signed the document during the meeting of the Joint Certification Sectorial Committee (JSCC), held in Montreal, Canada.
The new amendment introduces important enhancements, including streamlined validation of Type Certificates for small helicopters and mutual recognition of Operational Suitability Data (OSD) impact classifications according to guidelines from the certificating authority, as well as adjustments and updates to definitions, links, and email addresses.
This amendment represents a step forward in the collaborative certification practices between Anac and EASA, facilitating the validation of aeronautical products between Brazil and the European Union, and promoting greater safety and efficiency in civil aviation.
